What is Soarvo?
Soarvo is a geospatial data management platform for uploading, visualising, and collaborating on location-based data — drone surveys, point clouds, 3D models, orthomosaics, GIS data, and more. See What is Soarvo?
What can I do in the web portal?
Organise data into Projects and Locations, upload geospatial datasets, view them in a 2D/3D map, create features, measure distances and volumes, and share with your team. See Opening a Location & Data Viewer Overview.
Is there a mobile app?
Yes — iOS and Android for field data capture. Requires a Mobile-User or Mobile-Only role. See the Field Workers section for device integrations (nordalp X6 PRO RTK, RD8000+) and field workflows (BS3998 tree inspections, alignment & chainage, position averaging).
Logging In & Accounts
How do I log in?
Go to live.soarvo.com and enter the email and password from your invitation. See Logging In for the First Time.
I didn't get my invitation email — what now?
Check spam or junk. If absent, ask your Administrator to confirm the address and resend. See Troubleshooting: Login & Access Issues.
I forgot my password — how do I reset it?
Click Forgot password on the login page, enter your email, and follow the reset link. Check junk if it doesn't arrive within a few minutes.
What browsers does Soarvo support?
Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari. Internet Explorer is not supported. Chrome and Edge are recommended for 3D data (point clouds, meshes).
Users, Roles & Sharing
Who can invite new users?
Administrators, Project Managers, and Project Supervisors can invite users (only Administrators can create other Administrators). See Inviting Users to Soarvo.
What roles are there and what can each do?
Seven roles: Administrator, Project Manager, Project Supervisor, Editor, Viewer, Mobile-User, Mobile-Only. See User Roles & Permissions for the full matrix.
Can I change a user's role after inviting them?
Yes — Administrators can update a role at any time from the Users page; it takes effect immediately. See Managing and Removing Users.
What's the difference between sharing a project and sharing a location?
Sharing a project grants access to all its locations. Sharing a location grants access to that location only. See Sharing Projects & Locations.
I'm logged in but I can't see any projects — why?
New accounts show an empty home screen until projects are shared with you. Contact your Administrator. See Troubleshooting: Login & Access Issues.
Data & Uploads
What file formats can I upload?
SHP, GDB, CSV, KML, DWG, DXF, GeoTIFF, JPG, 360° Panoramas, LAS/LAZ, IFC (BIM), OBJ/B3DM (3D mesh), plus raw drone imagery. Advanced formats depend on subscription. See Supported File Formats.
What coordinate system should my data use?
The same coordinate system as the project. The project EPSG code is set at creation — every upload must match. Mismatched data plots in the wrong place. See Creating a Project.
Why is my data showing in the wrong location?
Almost always a CRS mismatch. Re-export with the correct coordinate system and re-upload.
The upload succeeded but I can't see the data — what should I check?
- Refresh the Data Viewer.
- Wait — large files (point clouds, 3D meshes) need processing time.
- In the Layers panel, confirm the eye icon is on.
- Click Reset View — the layer may have loaded outside the current view.
- Recheck the coordinate system — the file may be in the wrong CRS.
Subscription & Limits
How do I check my storage and user quotas?
Click the avatar (top-right) → Resource limits. Shows subscription end date, storage, location count, users per role, and processing tokens.
What are processing tokens?
Tokens are consumed when uploading raw drone imagery for automatic conversion into orthomosaics, 3D meshes, or point clouds. Allocation is visible on the Resource limits page.
