Overview

Release notes for the Soarvo Mobile app (iOS and Android). Builds are listed newest first.

ℹ️ Release cadence: Mobile builds ship through the Google Play Store and Apple App Store / TestFlight, on a separate cycle from the Soarvo Portal. Field teams should update regularly to get the newest device integrations and capture features. For Portal release notes, see Release Notes — Soarvo Portal.

Mobile 0.0.180 — Production

New features

  • Support for nordalp X6 PRO as a position source. See nordalp X6 PRO RTK Integration.
  • Move nodes on linear and area features.
  • Split linear features.
  • Previous login email cached and auto-restored on the login page.
  • Auto-generated inspection metadata attributes on parent features: _inspectedBy, _inspectedDate, _inspectedStatus.
  • _COPY_PARENT_GEOM support for child inspection feature types (point geometry only).
  • !INSPECTEDDISTANCE default value code for child inspection feature types.
  • Simplified icon support.
  • "My Data Only" filter on the Features Overview page.
  • Device position logging.

Data and calculation updates

  • !LEN updated to perform 2D calculations; new !LEN3D function for 3D length.
  • Floating-point precision workaround for !CALC expressions.

Fixes

  • Deleted projects no longer remain on the device after removal.
  • Antenna height adjustment fixed for Trimble Precision SDK position sources.
  • iPadOS 26.1+ workaround for menus and modals auto-dismissing.

Mobile 0.0.162 — Production

New features

  • _AUTO_ACCEPT and _ON_SAVE_ACTIONS feature-type metadata settings.
  • Project-wide locations now load onto the map alongside the currently opened location.
  • MobileLocationZoom location tag uses the location anchor as the initial map centre.

Improvements

  • Improved map annotation performance.
  • #32CE32 added as a colour that defaults to transparent polygon fill.

Mobile 0.0.157 — Production

New features

  • Grid Lines secondary feature (Grid Generation).
  • Parallel Lines secondary feature (Parallel Lines).
  • Tree Inspection (BS3998) secondary feature, including RPR calculation (Tree Inspections).
  • Alignment & Chainage functionality (Alignment and Chainage).
  • Location search with status filters and search-by-name.
  • "Mark as Finished" option on location cards.
  • Corner-by-corner navigation (Google Maps / Apple Maps) for features over 1km away.
  • number() function support inside !CALC.
  • Signature attribute support (sketch canvas auto-sizes).
  • Photo & sketch thumbnails via !MODIFIER-SHOWTHUMBNAIL.
  • Mobile-Only user role support.

Mapping & capture improvements

  • ESRI World Imagery now available as a default layer (OS layers removed as defaults).
  • Improved zoom-to-feature behaviour.
  • "Lock to Position" toggle shows toast notifications.
  • Line/area feature capture now starts directly on the map.
  • Improved auto-add nodes with Start/Stop control (Auto Add Linear/Area Nodes).
  • Better line annotation positioning.
  • Transparent polygon support via colour #FFFF01.
  • Selected features highlighted in cyan to match the portal.
  • Mandatory attributes clearly indicated (red→green status bar).
  • More verbose error messages on save.

Photo & watermark updates

  • Watermarks now use Easting/Northing for BNG, TM65, TM75, ITM projections; X/Y for other projected systems; Latitude/Longitude for EPSG:4326.
  • Bearing removed when the device doesn't provide it.

Fixes

  • TPSDK (Trimble Catalyst) updated to v2025.1.28484.68.
  • General maintenance and library updates.

How to Keep Soarvo Mobile Up to Date

  • Android — set Soarvo to auto-update in the Google Play Store, or check for updates manually.
  • iOS — set Soarvo to auto-update in the App Store, or pull-to-refresh in the Updates section.
  • Beta / TestFlight — pre-release builds are available in the Play Store beta track and iOS TestFlight. Useful for previewing upcoming features before they reach Production. Contact your Customer Success contact for access.
⚠️ Compatibility: Some integrations require minimum app versions: nordalp X6 PRO (0.0.166+, Android only), Photo Watermarking customisation (0.0.206+), Tree Inspections (0.0.130+). Each Field Workers article specifies its required version.
