Installing Soarvo Mobile & First Sign-In

Overview

This article walks you through installing the Soarvo Mobile app on your phone or tablet and signing in for the first time. Essential for new Mobile-User and Mobile-Only team members starting field-capture work.

ℹ️ Before you start: An Administrator, Project Manager, or Project Supervisor must have invited you to Soarvo. You'll have received an activation email — set your password via that email before continuing. If you haven't, see Logging In for the First Time.

Step 1 — Install the App

Search for Soarvo in your device's app store and install it:

  • Android — open Google Play Store, search "Soarvo", tap Install.
  • iOS / iPad — open App Store, search "Soarvo", tap Get.
⚠️ Device requirements: Soarvo Mobile runs on recent versions of Android and iOS. For RTK rover integrations like nordalp X6 PRO and RD8000+ cable locators, an Android device is required (iOS not supported for those integrations).

Step 2 — Allow Permissions

On first launch, Soarvo will request several permissions. Grant them all — field data capture won't work without them:

  • Location — to record GPS positions for features
  • Camera — to take photos attached to features
  • Storage / Photos — to save and upload captured photos
  • Bluetooth (Android only) — required for external device integrations (RTK rovers, RD8K locators)

Step 3 — Sign In

  1. Open Soarvo Mobile.
  2. Enter the email address your Administrator used to invite you.
  3. Enter the password you set when activating your account.
  4. Tap Log in.

💡 Tip: Forgot your password? Tap Forgot password on the login screen, enter your email, and follow the link in the reset email. See Resetting Your Password.

Step 4 — First Sync

After signing in, Soarvo downloads the projects and locations shared with you, plus the feature types configured for each. The first sync may take 30 seconds to a few minutes depending on how much data is shared.

When sync completes, your Location list appears. Tap any location to open it on the map and start capturing.

What if My Locations Don't Appear?

If the location list is empty after first sync, one of the following is likely:

  • No projects shared with you yet. Ask your Administrator or Project Manager to share the relevant projects or locations. See Sharing Projects & Locations.
  • Your role doesn't include mobile access. Confirm with your Administrator that your role is Mobile-User, Mobile-Only, or one of the other roles that supports mobile (Administrator, Project Manager, Project Supervisor, Editor).
  • Pull-to-refresh. On the location list, pull down from the top to force a re-sync — sometimes the first sync needs a manual nudge.

Day-to-Day Sign-In

After your first sign-in, Soarvo Mobile stays signed in across app restarts. You only need to sign in again if you sign out manually or if your session expires for security reasons.
