Opacity settings & clipping plane
Adjust layer opacity and slice into 3D data to see inside.
Overview
Soarvo lets you adjust how orthomosaics, point clouds, and 3D models are displayed — including per-layer opacity and a clipping plane for viewing internal data. Available to all roles with location access.
Opacity settings
Click the Panels button next to the Home button to open Opacity Settings. Soarvo shows an opacity slider for each orthomosaic loaded in the current location.
- Reduce a slider below 100% to make that layer less visible.
- Depth toggle — view imported data below the Cesium mapping data when its height values don't match the Cesium terrain.
- Google tileset opacity — controls visibility of the Google 3D Buildings layer.
- Cesium terrain opacity — controls visibility of the Cesium mapping layer.
- Background visibility — turn off Cesium mapping entirely and view imported data on a black background.
Clipping plane
The Clipping Plane clips the height of imported models and point clouds for a clearer view of internal data.
- Select Clipping Plane to show the clipping plane height.
- Use the up/down arrows or type a height value to clip through the model.
